Install ExtralyCinematic

Requirements

Section titled “Requirements”
  • Paper server compatible with API 1.21
  • Java 21
  • Permission access for cinematic.cmd
  • Optional: PlaceholderAPI, WorldGuard, MythicMobs

Build From Source

Section titled “Build From Source”
Terminal window
cd ExtralyCinematic
./gradlew clean shadowJar

The shaded jar is generated under:

ExtralyCinematic/build/libs/

Install

Section titled “Install”
  1. Stop the server.
  2. Copy the shaded jar into plugins/.
  3. Install optional dependencies if needed.
  4. Start the server.
  5. Confirm the plugin enables in console.

Expected command:

/cinematic

Expected permission:

cinematic.cmd

Smoke Test

Section titled “Smoke Test”
/cinematic list
/cinematic addframe smoke
/cinematic addframe smoke
/cinematic duration smoke 3
/cinematic play <your_name> smoke

The viewer should enter spectator mode, play the path, then return to the original location and game mode.
